Yes, it's part of a chain, but I think it's the only one in St. Louis. Besides that, it's calming inside, with rich decor, tasty beer, and a baseball game on TV.

They get the Irish Pub kitsch down to a science over here. Tigin's fish and chips are decent as well.

While I can't say this is the best place to go before a ball game, I will say it's up there on my list, since the service is excellent (not the usual Landing-Soulard-Downtown bartender/server pretty face) and the prices are surprisingly low for being located within a Drury Inn.

Tigin Irish Pub is a great place to go and have a nice and refreshing beer, and something to eat as well. The food is great. I actually went and ordered the Smithwick's Mini Burgers, which I enjoyed and to tell the truth I ordered because it had the flavor of one of my most favorite beers, Smithwick's. The burgers were nice and tasty. Later I ordered the bread pudding. I must say that it was wonderful. Each bite that I had was perfect. I don't order bread pudding often, but if it taste like what Tigin made it, then I think that I will have it more often.

Tigin also has a nice little selection of beers to choose from, it is after all an Irish pub.

We stopped for a light late lunch and had a great time sitting on the patio with a view somewhat) of the St. Louis Arch. The service was good and the food was good and had great presentation.

Tigin has decent food at a good price. The servers are very friendly and the portions are a good size. The location is a bit more intimate as it's broken up into smaller sections but this can be a good thing or bad thing depending on the type of atmosphere you desire.

If you have a larger group 6+ you may want to go during off hours (they don't have a lot of space for bigger groups).

Very good food (anything boxty is delightful), and great service if you sit at a table.  Which is hard to do with a group, because the place is entirely too under-tabled to handle the lunch crowd.

Tried this place out during the Super bowl our server was JD.  We were seated in a tiny back room to ourselves to that was kinda nice.  There are TVs all over, so not a problem.
We just LOVED the food here we got Boxty appetizer w/ cheese, the grilled salmon, and Boxty w/ chicken and shrimp. For dessert we ordered the Irish bread pudding. Everything was extra wonderful and we loved the Boxty the best, never had it before. JD did a great job and explained everything.
The atmosphere was comfortable and very clean.
If I were to complain at all it's the parking....we parked in a pay lot across the street.  You may luck out and get a spot on the street.
HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!.

This place is exceptionally well-managed and the staff is quite friendly.  As you might imagine, the food is excellent.  I especially enjoy the chicken boxty quesadilla and the homemade shepherd's pie. During football (soccer) season, I sometimes join my friends on weekend mornings to watch Premier League.  On such mornings, I'll often have their Irish coffee which is beautifully adorned with a cinnamon design on top.  Thanks to A-B partnering with InBev, the beer selection, particularly on tap, is fabulous.  This place is great, you gotta check it out!

Tigin is a new establishment to Downtown St. Louis, so my fiance and I  thought we'd give it a go.  We walk in and sat ourselves at a small table by the bar after waiting at the door a few minutes.  Two tables were full and the bar was full, so they really weren't too terribly busy, yet we waited for ten minutes at our table before we were even asked if we had been helped.  We were told someone would be with us right away.  During our wait I checked the place out - it featured rustic furnishings with designer old world walls and shelves full of all sorts of trinkets.  After another ten minutes of waiting our server finally came over.  He took our order and said our drinks would be right up.  Another ten minutes passed before we got our drinks.  I ordered the Tigin Irish coffee and he got the Guinness, both of which were wonderful.  The Irish coffee featured very hot coffee that was sippable due to the cold cream on top - it was a perfect combination.  Tigin's three swirl design was done on top of the cream in cinnamon.  The Guinness was served as a Guinness should be - a nice layer of froth coming just to the top of the glass, and ice cold.  Tigin boasts on their menu that they serve Guinness just as the Irish intended, by keeping it at a temperature between 39-45F. The food was good for a pub, it's just the waiting that really got to me.  If they had been busy I wouldn't have minded.  Still, they are new and I see great potential here. Three stars.

three words:  trinity steak boxty
four more words: strongbow cider on tap

really, that's all you need to know.

oh, fine, you want more?  tigin means i'll probably never bother with the dubliner or llywelyns ever again. the atmosphere is lovely dark wood--way "pub-ier" than some other irish-themed places, without being dingy or dirty feeling.  they've got tvs up for watching (european) football, rugby and other sporting events.  the staff is easy-going and friendly, and committed to making sure you enjoy your meal.

the menu is diverse enough for vegetarians, pescatarians, and meat lovers to have multiple tasty options. there are many food items made with beer or whisky (a favorite flavoring of mine).  they have a full bar with several beers on tap (including cider!). they have a dessert that includes ice cream made with caramelized brown breads.  what more do you need to know?

and the steak boxty? it starts with a crepe-like pancake made with potatoes (the boxty--they also fry it up and use it for chips and such). the boxty is stuffed with marinated steak, onions, mushrooms and this scrumptious dark sauce/gravy made with whiskey.  if it wasn't so tasty, i might try other things on the menu.  as it is, i have to split and swap meals to try anything else.

i've been with several different people and nobody's walked away disappointed in their meal choice, which thankfully means i'll have plenty of opportunities for return visits.
